Your friends passed by
I’m glad that they weren’t shy
To shed their tears and cry
Show their feelings, not act or lie.
Oh dear daughter, they miss you
And wish that what happened wasn’t
true
They carry their pain not knowing
what to do
To make the grey skies turn again blue.
Stories about you they shared,
Some I knew, some I never heard.
Spoke about your thoughtfulness and
how you cared
And what a good friend you were, they
all affirmed.
They always feel that you are near
In a dream or an old song they hear
And when they gather, you’re with
them, dear
They will never forget you, it’s very
clear.
They remember you wherever they go
Carrying their pains which their
faces show
And holding to the memories that with
them grow
They’re hurting and miss you, I know.
When they had to say goodbye
I wished they didn’t have to leave,
do you know why?
I saw you in them, as if part of you
didn’t die
Bless them; they comforted my heart
and eye.
