SAMAR AL ANSARI 2008 Economics Award

Nouf Mattar's speech at the Honor Society:

Ladies and Gentlemen, my fellow students.
One of the greatest losses our school has ever experienced was of the beloved daughter, sister and student, Samar al Ansari. She was the prime example of how a student should act and behave whether it was academically or socially. Samar was known for her excellence in analytical thinking in economics and her skill in sports. She was known to be one of the smartest students in her grade and a great football player. She was what defined the word well-rounded. Due to that, an award has been created to accredit those who possess these characteristics in economics and in sports. On the other hand, Samar was also known to have one of the nicest personalities. She was said to be funny, witty, and fun-loving yet at the same time serious and thoughtful. Samar was always helping others and stood by her friends when they were in need. The person who receives this award should be honored to be given an award that was named after such an outstanding and amazing person both academically and socially. Without further ado, the Samar Al-Ansari Award goes to Tarek Nour (12 IB).
