My family's tradition started from my great great grandfather. He started to catch fish and pearls and it passed down to my great grandfather, then to my grandfather then it stopped there. It stopped when it reached my father because then life became more modern, because there were scuba divers and Chinese pearls became available.
How my family did this was they went in ships and into the deep deep seas. They would go underwater and put clips on their noses and a rope attached to them. They come back up hopefully with clams. And they would sing songs.
